Define User Access Rights Consistently
Make sure that you define user access rights consistently throughout Security Administration. Defining access rights inconsistently does not produce the results that you want.
An example of defining user access inconsistently is doing the following:
- Under Product Family/Product Rights, giving a user access to a product family.
- Under Application Country Rights, giving the user access to applications in the same product family.
- Under Product Family/Product Rights, removing user access to the product family.
In this case, the user cannot see the product family in the product family tree, but can still edit applications in the product family on application pages and product family pages.
