Calyx RIM 7.0 Data Migration: Product Family Decoupling

The Calyx RIM 7.0 database migration provides the changes related to Product Family Decoupling.

Calyx RIM 7.0 restructures the product hierarchy to separate the product data from the process data. These changes provide the flexibility to include products from different product families (PF) in a single submission.

From a regulatory perspective, it is possible to have a product included in a submission that falls under a different product family. Removing the relationship where a PF "owns" applications provides the flexibility to associate any product to the application, and to capture the process and submission data for those products under the same application.
