Replace a Flu Strain PDS Project

Using the Global Project Planning (GPP) wizard, you can replace an approved flu strain in a PDS.

Note: The procedure below is a continuation of the Update Product Detail Sets project in the GPP wizard. The procedure presented in Creating an Update Product Detail Set Project must be initiated first.
To replace a flu strain from the Select Action page of the GPP wizard:
  1. Select Replace Flu Strain on the Select Action page.
  2. Click Next.
    The Select Flu Strain page appears.
  3. On the Select Flu Strain page, do the following:
    1. Select the approved flu strain that you want to replace.
    2. Select the new flu strain.
  4. Click Next.
    The Perform Another PDS Action page appears.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • Click Yes to perform another update PDS action.
    • Click No to proceed to the Summary page of the GPP wizard.
  6. Click Next.
    One of the following occurs:
    • If you selected Yes in step 5, you return to the Select Action page of the GPP wizard.
    • If you selected No in step 5, the Summary page appears. Go to step 7.
  7. On the Summary page, do one of the following:
    • Select the project link on the Summary page to review the new project you created.
    • Click Finish. You are returned to the view from which you invoked the GPP wizard.
    Upon completion, the flu strain you chose to replace is assigned a Pending Withdrawal status in the PDS. The status for the new flu strain is Pending Add.
  8. To view the project after closing the GPP wizard, click Home > Projects.
  9. Click the link for the project you just created to open the Project Attributes page.
  10. Navigate to the PDS to view the modified details.
