Copy Events

Copying an event enables you to create multiple events for a regulatory action that is needed in more than one country. The Copy Event wizard copies an event to multiple applications within the same product family. You can associate existing product detail sets with the new events, and copy the tasks and references from the originating event to the new events.

You can copy an event only if all of the following criteria are met:
  • The event is open.
  • You have at least WRITE security privileges for events.
  • You can access the Copy Event wizard.

When you copy an event:

  • You can only copy an event when viewing the Event Attributes page.
  • New events are created for the applications you choose.
  • All event attributes except Comments and Concerned Parties are copied to the new events. Comments and Concerned Parties remain blank.
  • The status schedule is not copied to the new event.
  • If you copy tasks, all tasks and their task status dates are copied and associated with the new events and other attributes.
  • If you choose to associate existing product detail sets with the new event, any products associated with them are automatically associated with the new event and if it is a product registration type the status date on the event-product relationship is set to today's date.
  • The Applications multi-select field displays only those applications that are associated with the selected Product.
  • With the exception of the Last Changed Date, Updated By, Comments, and Concerned Parties attributes, which are left blank, all task attributes are copied.
  • If you copy references, all reference attributes, except Comments, and Concerned Parties are associated with the new events.
