Modify a Manufacturing Process

Using the Global Project Planning (GPP) wizard, you can modify the manufacturing process of an active ingredient detail, component detail, substance detail, or PDS manufacturing detail in a PDS.

To modify a manufacturing process on the Select Action page of the GPP wizard:
  1. Select Modify Manufacturing Process on the Select Action page, and click Next.
  2. On the Modify Manufacturing Process 1 page, select the manufacturing process parent type:
    • Active Ingredient
    • Component
    • Product detail Set
    • Substance
  3. Click Next.
    The Modify Manufacturing Process 2 page appears, listing PDSs containing approved manufacturing processes for approved parent details that also meet the criteria selected in the previous step.
  4. Select one or more PDSs, and click Next.
    The Enter Manufacturing Process Values page appears, presenting the options to change:
    • Manufacturing Process Name
    • Manufacturing Process Specification
    • Manufacturing Process Keywords
    • Manufacturing Process Description
    • Manufacturing Process Comments
  5. Select the check box next to the attribute you want to change. Enter text in the available field.
    • If you select a check box and leave the associated field blank, the manufacturing process property is updated with a blank value.
    • Only the selected property attributes will be updated. The values for property attributes that are not selected will remain unchanged in the manufacturing process you are updating.
  6. Click Next. On the Perform Another PDS Action page, do one of the following:
    • Click Yes to perform another update PDS action.
    • Click No to proceed to the Summary page of the GPP wizard.
  7. Click Next. Proceed as follows:
    • If you selected Yes in the previous step, you return to the Select Action page of the GPP wizard. Proceed to step 1, and execute the steps to perform another update PDS action.
    • If you selected No in the previous step, the Summary page appears. Go to the next step.
  8. On the Summary page, do one of the following:
    • Select the project link on the Summary page to review the new project you created.
    • Click Finish. You are returned to the view from which you invoked the GPP wizard.
    To view the project after closing the GPP wizard, click Home > Projects. Click the link for the project you just created to open the Project Attributes page. Navigate to the PDS to view the modified details.
    The Status of a selected Manufacturing Process is set to Pending Modify and the Status Date of the Detail is set to the current date.
