Generate a Query

You can generate queries depending upon your security privileges. Queries for which you do not have security privileges are hidden from view

To generate a query:
  1. On the Go To menu, select Querying.
Several tabs with query options appear.
  2. Click the tab for the preferred query.
You may need to use the arrows to the right and left of the listed tabs to view all of the available tabs.
A list of query options appears.
  3. Click the link for the query you want to generate.
    The query criteria page appears.
  4. Select the criteria you want to use to generate the query.
  5. Do either of the following:
    Option Action
    To generate the query: Search.
To clear the values you entered and start over: Reset.
When the query criteria page is refreshed as a result of selecting filtering criteria, clicking Reset does not direct you back to the Querying menu page. Rather, you are returned to the query criteria page. To navigate back to the menu page, click Cancel.
Note: If you inadvertently add species details to non-veterinary products, you will not see species details added to the PDS tree for the product. However, the species details will be maintained in the database and they will appear in any related queries that you perform.
Note: If you run a custom query created from a query, and then run the original query, when you click Back on the query output view you are returned to the filtering criteria page for custom query instead of the original query. As a workaround, navigate back to the query to return to the correct filtering criteria page for the original query.
