Delete PDS Details

You can delete a PDS from an open event, unless the event has a pending detail in another event.

Note: For information regarding conditional requirements related to deleting a PDS detail, see PDS Detail Statuses.
To delete PDS details:
  1. Click a link for the event whose PDS detail you want to delete.
    Note: The event for which you want to delete the PDS detail must be open.
  2. On the Product Detail Sets tab, click the PDS that contains the detail to be deleted.
    The PDS page appears.
  3. In the left pane of the PDS page, locate the PDS detail you want to delete.
  4. Right-click the PDS detail, and click Delete. 
  5. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click OK.
  6. Click OK to close the confirmation that the PDS detail has been deleted. The detail no longer appears in the PDS tree.
    Note: When you delete a PDS detail that has any children, they will be deleted as well. For example, if there is a reference strain associated to a flu strain detail, it will be deleted along with the parent flu strain.
