Create a Reference for Project Events or Sequences

You can create references using the Create References for Project Events or Sequences wizard.

You can access the wizard from the Project Attributes page.
Note: You must have the Registration Planning and Tracking (RPT) or Submission Planning and Tracking (SPT) license to invoke the Create References or Project Events or Sequences wizard. Additionally, you must have WRITE privileges for References, the Product Family, and the associated application Country. 
To create a reference for project events or sequences:
  1. View the project for which you want to create references for the associated events or sequences.
  2. Click Create Reference.
    The Create References for Project Events or Sequences wizard opens to the Select Events or Sequences page.
  3. On the Select Events or Sequences page, do one of the following:
    Action Description
    To create references for events associated with the project click Create References for Events.
    To select one or more of the events listed on the Select Events page Click Next.
    To create references for sequences associated with the project Click Create References for Sequences. Click Next and select one or more of the sequences listed on the Select Sequences page.
  4. Click Next.
    The Enter Reference Details page appears.
  5. Enter or select the reference attributes presented.
    At minimum, you need to enter a reference name and select the type, status, and status date for the reference.
  6. Click Next.
    A confirmation page indicates that the reference will be created for the events or sequences selected in step 3.
  7. Click Next.
    The wizard presents an option to create additional references.
  8. Do one of the following:
    Action Description
    Select Yes To create additional references, the Enter Reference Details page appears. Repeat steps 5 through 7.
    Select No For no additional references, the Summary page indicates that references were created. Go to step 9.
  9. On the Summary page, click Finish.
    You are returned to the Project Attributes page from which you invoked the wizard. Upon completion, references are associated with the project event or sequence.
  10. To view the references you created, do the following:
    Action Description
    Click References View one or more references for a project event on the Event Attributes page.
    Click References View one or more references for an project sequence on the Sequence Attributes tab.
