Create a PDS from a PDS Template

You can use a PDS template to create a similar PDS.

The following limitations apply:
  • If you enter a comment in the Add Comment field in the PDS template and then create a PDS from the template, the comment is not carried forward to the newly created PDS.
  • The PDS details are given the QC Status of the details in the template.  
  • If the default QC Status is changed in Data Administration, the QC Status of PDS details in a PDS template that already exists is not automatically updated to the new default.
To create a PDS from a PDS template:
  1. Click a link for the event for which you want to associate the new PDS.
    The Event Attributes page appears.
  2. Click Product Detail Sets, then click Create Product Detail Sets from Template.
    The Create Product Detail Sets from Template page appears.
  3. Select the product for which you are creating the PDS. The list of products from which you can choose is limited to the products associated with the event selected in step 1.
    The available PDS templates are displayed.
  4. Select the template.
  5. Click one of the following:
    Option Action
    To create the PDS and return to the Event Attributes page: Save.
    To save the PDS and create another PDS from templates associated with the product: Save and Create Another PDS.
    Upon completion the status of the new PDS is Planned. All countries associated with an event will be added to PDS when creating a PDS from a PDS template, not from the application.
