Application Country Rights Attributes

The Application Country Rights dialog box enables an administrator to grant users access to the specific countries. The Application Country Rights attributes provide permissions to users.

The table describes the attributes of the Application Country Rights option.

Option Description
Product Families - All Applies the country rights you specify in the Countries box to all product families and the products to which a user has access.

If you do not select All, countries must be individually assigned to every new product family.

Users who can create product families (Data Administration set to Yes) should be granted All privileges. Else, users will be able to create product families but they will not be able to view them.

Product Families - Select Applies the country rights you specify in the Countries box to only the product families you choose in the selection box.
  • To create and use an application without products and product families, only NOT DEFINED must be set for Application Country Rights. In this case, product families are not selected and any option can be selected for Countries.
  • If the Product Families are NOT DEFINED, a product cannot be assigned to an application and the Application icon will not be available on the Product Family Attributes page.
Countries - All Grants user access to all countries associated with the product families chosen in the Product Families box.
Countries - Select Grants the user access to only the countries you choose in the selection box.
Access Level Indicates the access level for the selected product families and their products.
  • None- denied access.
  • Read - view privileges only.
  • Write - read access with create and change privileges.
  • Admin - write access with delete privileges.
