Associate or Disassociate an Event with or from a Project

When you create or modify an event, you can associate or disassociate an event to an existing project with the Project Name attribute.

Specific rules determine when and how you can use the Project Name attribute when creating or modifying events.

  • When creating a new event, the attribute is enabled for you to associate a project.
  • When modifying an existing event, the attribute is enabled for you to associate or disassociate a project, unless the event is associated with a project that is closed. You cannot disassociate an event from a closed project.
  • When the attribute is enabled for associating or disassociating a project, the projects in the selection list include:
    • Projects with an Open status.
    • A project can be associated with one, or multiple, events per application.
    • Projects based on the registration type set on the parent application related to the event. The following table explains the application registration type-project type relationship.
  • You can associate more than one event with the same project.
Application registration type Project mapped to internal project type
Product registration type "Create New Events Product Registration Project"
    Package set registration type
    • "Create New Events Package Set Registration Project"
    • "Create New Applications Package Set Registration Project"
    • "Product Detail Set Updates Project"
  • When you associate or disassociate an event, all the product detail sets associated with the event are included in the associated project or excluded from the disassociated project. Ennov InSight  displays a confirmation message regarding this when you change the attribute value.
