Create a Product

Products are created under product families to be further associated with applications or events.

You associate products with a product family. Depending on the type of product, you specify information such as product dosage form, product route of administration, standards codes, safety codes, FDA information, and so on. When you create a product, it is added to lists of products in Ennov InSight .
Note: If you want to associate a product detail set (PDS) with the product you create, ensure to select one or more active ingredients by modifying the product family before you create a product.
To create a product:
  1. From the Home page on the Product Families tab, click a link for the product family for which you want to create a new product.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Click Edit on the Product Family Attributes page. Make any changes as needed (selecting active ingredients is recommended) and click Save and Add Product.
    • On the Products tab, click Create.
    The Create Product page appears.
  3. Enter values for the product attributes.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Save, to save the product.
    • Create Another Product, to save this product and create another.
    • Save and Add Component, to save this product and associate a component with it.
  5. Choose the applicable procedure to enter an electronic signature for entities:
    Scenario Steps
    When electronic signature is enabled
    1. Select a reason and enter comments for the reason.
    2. Select Save.
    3. Validate your identity by entering your user credentials in the dialog box.
