Create an Assembly Reference Type

When creating an assembly reference type, follow the procedure to create a reference, be sure to follow the caution below about working with the assembly in the Show view.

When creating a Reference Link of the Assembly reference type, the Browse option enables you to locate and select the target assembly for the reference.
In the Browse dialog box, the Show button enables you to view all of the parts of the assembly. Do not select any parts within the assembly. Select only the assembly.
When using the Show button functionality, click the root of the assembly before clicking OK.
