Manufacturing details related to product components are tracked at the PDS level.
To associate component manufacturing details with a PDS:

In the PDS tree on the
Product Detail Set page, expand the tree node for a component.

Under the component node, expand the
Manufacturing node.
Be sure to expand the node nested under a product component. Do not expand the node nested under the top-most node for the PDS.

Under the Manufacturing node, you can do the following:
- To associate a manufacturing process, right-click
Manufacturing Processes and choose
Add Manufacturing Process. See the topic Associating a manufacturing process for instructions.
- To associate a manufacturing function, right-click
Function
and choose
Add Function.
