Medicinal Product Action

Medicinal Products Names are associated to a medicinal product to provide data points for the product structure.

The Medicinal Product Name is required by the Identification of Medicinal Product (IDMP) data standards to maintain a standardized and structured method of collecting, reporting, coding, and evaluating authorized medicinal product data.

You can create multiple medicinal product names for a medicinal product.

The Medicinal Product Name has specific conditions:

• You can create or modify a country for a medicinal product name for applications with Centralized Procedure (CP) only. By default, the value is populated in Medicinal Product Name Country with the countries associated to a Registration.
• For the applications with non-centralized procedure, you cannot create or modify a country for a Medicinal Product Name. The Country field is hidden on the Medicinal Product Name create/view and modify pages.
