Use the Copy Event Wizard

Use the Copy Event wizard to copy an event to multiple applications within the product family associated with a source event.To copy an event using the wizard:

  1. Navigate to the event you want to copy.
  2. Select Wizards > Copy Event.The Copy Event wizard opens to the Choose Products page.
  3. On the Choose Products page, do one of the following:
    Option Action
    To narrow down the list of applications: Choose applications on the next page by selecting one or more available products. Only products that belong to the product family associated with the event are listed.
    To see the entire list of applications on the next page of the wizard: Do not choose products from the available list.
  4. Click Next.
  5. On the Choose Applications page, select one or more available applications, and optionally do one or more of the following:
    Option Action
    To copy all tasks associated with the source event to the event copy: Select Copy Task. This option is available only if you have at least WRITE security privileges for tasks.
    To copy all references associated with the source event to the event copy: Select Copy References. This option is available only if you have at least WRITE security privileges for references.
    To copy the PDS associated with the source event to the event copy: Select Associate Product Detail Sets with Events. This option is available only if you have a PDM license and at least WRITE security privileges for PDSs.
  6. Click Next.A confirmation page indicates the new event will be copied to the applications selected in step 5.
  7. Choose the applicable procedure to enter an electronic signature for entities:
Scenario Steps
When electronic signature is enabled
  1. Select a reason and enter comments for the reason.
  2. Select Save.
  3. Validate your identity by entering your user credentials in the dialog box.
