Use the Update Status Wizard
You can use the Update Status Wizard to update event-country statuses and information about related entities.
In Data Administration, if Yes is selected in the System Process Default Flag field, each display status shows the value specified in its Name field.
To use the Update Status wizard:
- Select Wizards > Update Status. The Enter Event Search Criteria page appears.
- Select values for the attributes presented to locate the events you want to update.

- On the Enter values to update entities page, select
values for one or more attributes.
◦ The options presented depend on the application procedure type. For example, a Procedure Closure
Date is available for MRP applications but not for other application types. This field will be blank. If the Event has a value for Procedure Closure Date, upon completion of the wizard, the date will be updated only if the Procedure Closure Date is blank for the specific event.
◦ Event Name: Displays all selected Event names on the previous screen, listed alphanumerically (if all were selected), or based on the order of the selected checkbox(s).
- Click Next. One of the following occurs:
◦ For National applications, the Update Event Country Status page appears. Go to step 7.
◦ For MRP, DCP, or CP applications, the Select Event Countries page appears. Go to step 8.
- On the Update Event Country Status page, select an event-country status.
◦ If multiple events are being updated, this page may repeat based on the following rules:
All selected events where an Event Plan is not enforced will be displayed for updating.
For each selected event where an Event Plan is enforced, the screen will repeat after clicking Next.
The Not-Enforced Events screen will be displayed first (if at least one Not-Enforced Event is selected on the previous page) and Enforced Event screens will be displayed after.
◦ For Not-Enforced Events that are grouped on the same page, all Event-Country values will be displayed as comma separated values, with the order consistent across Event Name, Event Code, and Event-Country.
◦ You can use this wizard to update a planned event that enforces status progression. For such an event, the only statuses available for selection are optional statuses and the next primary status in the sequence of primary statuses defined in the timeline/event plan.
◦ In the Status Date box, type or use the
Calendar icon
to
select the date that this event country status is effective. For
planned events that enforce progression, the status date can not be
earlier than the status date for the previous status in the
sequence of statuses defined in the timeline/event plan.
◦ If you want to lock the event-country schedule for the selected countries after the event-country status is updated, select Yes for Lock the Event-Country Schedule?.
◦ If you want to close the event after the event-country status is updated, select Yes for Close Event?. Select the Closed Date value and Associations Closed As status. If the event is closed, the status of related entities (application, event, event product, sequence, and PDS) are updated.Application Status and Application Status Date will be updated with the values from the last entered repeating screen.Note: If you set Associations Closed As to WITHDRAWN, the Application Status will be set to Withdrawn only when all Registrations associated to this Application have a status mapped to internal WITHDRAWN status. Otherwise, the following warning message appears: ! Associated
Registration(s) must be Withdrawn prior to the Application.
If the Event is closed as Approved, meaning it has the Association Closed As field set to APPROVED, the Application Country > Withdrawn Date field is automatically updated to be equal to Event Closed Date value. This rule is applicable to an event that has an associated PDS with this country assigned to a Country PDS Detail, and this country has a Withdrawn status, meaning it is displayed as Country (Pending Withdrawal) in the PDS tree. See If the Event Is Closed with the Status Approved.
If multiple events have been selected, the Close Event will only apply to the currently open events. Any closed events will not be updated.
Where there are multiple events tied to the same Sequence:
The actual Sequence Status and Status Date will be set based on the values for the event, which are based on the following priority order:
▪ Approved
▪ Not Approved
▪ Withdrawn
Example: If there are two events, one is Approved and one is Not Approved, the values from the Approved Event will be used to set the Sequence Status and Status Date.
Where multiple events meet the priority (i.e. two are Approved), the last entered values in the wizard will be used.
The Next Renewal Date and Annual Report Date will be updated with the values from the last entered repeating screen.
