Create a Product Family

You can create product families to track your applications.
Note: Only an administrator can create a product family. Product families are created in Liquent Data Administration. See: Creating a Product Family in the Calyx RIM Administration guide.

Product families appear on the Product Families tab only when you have the appropriate viewing security privileges.

To create a product family:
  1. On the home page, choose Go To > Data Administration.
  2. Under Product Family Maintenance, click Product Family Values.
  3. On the Product Family Values page, click .
  4. Click the Product Family Type drop-down arrow and choose the product family type.
    The values available in the Product Family Type list are those you have created in Data Administration > Other > Entity XML/UI Mappings.
  5. In the Family Code box, enter a code for the product family.
  6. In the Family Name box, enter a name for the product family.
  7. Choose the Product Family Status.
  8. For Product Family Status Date, enter the date when the product family status is effective.
  9. Choose the Development Sponsor.
    The values available in the drop-down list are those you have created in Data Administration and identified as development sponsors.
  10. Save.
  11. Choose the applicable procedure to enter an electronic signature for entities:
    Scenario Steps
    When electronic signature and SSO are enabled
    1. Select a reason and enter comments for the reason.
    2. Select Save.
    3. Validate your identity by entering your user credentials in the dialog box.
    When electronic signature is enabled and SSO is disabled
    1. Select a reason and enter comments for the reason.
    2. Enter user ID and password and click Save.
