You can add a SharePoint Server to
Calyx RIM.
During configuration, keep in mind that the names used for connecting to SharePoint servers and repositories are case-sensitive. When the name is case-sensitive, the uppercase or lowercase spelling of the name must be correct for the SharePoint DMS to function correctly.
To add a SharePoint server to
Calyx RIM:
-
Log on to
Calyx RIM as an administrator.
-
In the
Calyx RIM menu, select:
.
The
Available Options for Technical Administration appear.
-
In the
Available Options list, click
DMS Server Management.
-
In the
Servers view, click
Create .
-
Open the
Server Type list and select
SharePoint.
-
In the
Server Name field, enter the name of the SharePoint server.
The
Active Flag default setting is
Y, for active, so the server is active as soon as it is added to
Calyx RIM. DMS servers can be deactivated or activated again at any time after configuration.
-
In the
Host Name field, enter the name of the SharePoint host.
-
In the
Port field, enter the port number of the SharePoint server.
-
In the
Calyx RIM Webservice URL field, enter the complete URL of the
Calyx RIM Webservice.
-
In the
Timeout
field, leave this field blank to use the default timeout setting of 60,000 milliseconds (1 minute).
If you encounter timeout issues (for example: when opening extraordinarily large documents for in-process linking), you can extend the timeout period by entering a greater number (in milliseconds) in the
Timeout field.
-
To save the new DMS server settings, click
Save.
