Create a PingOne Application

A PingOne application is required to create applications with PingOne.

To create a PingOne Application:
  1. Create an account at PingOne using the following link: https://www.pingidentity.com/en/account/register.html
  2. Sign in to PingOne with your username and password using the following link: https://www.pingidentity.com/en/account/sign-on.html
  3. Register for a developer account using the following link: https://www.pingidentity.com/en/account/register.html?type=developer
  4. After obtaining a developer account, request a product license and trial using the following links:
  5. Sign in with your PingOne developer account using the following link: https://admin.pingone.com/web-portal/login
  6. In the main menu bar on the top of the page, select Applications.
  7. On the My Applications page, click the Add Application button, and select New SAML Application.
  8. In the Application Details pane, enter the following information and click Continue to Next Step.
    Field Name Value
    Application Name Enter a unique name.
    Application Description Enter a short description of the application.
    Category Select a category that most closely aligns with your organization.
  9. In the Application Configuration pane, enter the following information and click Continue to Next Step.
    Field Name Value
    Protocol Version SAML v 2.0
    Assertion Consumer Service (ACS) http://<IP_Address or hostname of server with Calyx RIM>:8080/insight/saml/SSO
    Entity ID Enter a unique ID.
    Note: Record this ID, as it will be used later in the insight.var file.
    Application URL http://<IP_Address or hostname of server with Calyx RIM>:8080/insight/saml/SSO
  10. In the SSO Attribute Mapping pane, click Save & Publish.
  11. In the Review Setup pane, verify that the information displayed is correct, and then click Finish.
  12. In the My Applications pane, click on the name of the application that was just created.
  13. Click the links next to Signing Certificate and SAML Metadata to download these files, and save them to a secure location.
