Add an OpenText Content Server (Livelink) to Calyx RIM

You can add an OpenText Content Server to Calyx RIM.

During configuration, keep in mind that the names used for connecting to OpenText Content servers and repositories, are case-sensitive. When the name is case-sensitive, the uppercase or lowercase spelling of the name must be correct for the OpenText Content DMS to function correctly.

To add a OpenText Content Server to Calyx RIM:
  1. Log on to Calyx RIM as an administrator.
  2. In the Calyx RIM menus, select: GoTo > Technical Administration.
  3. In the Available Options list, click DMS Server Management.
  4. In the Servers view, click Create.
  5. Open the Server Type list and select Livelink.
  6. In the Server Name field, enter the name of the OpenText Content Server.
(Use any unique name to identify this server in Calyx RIM.) The Active Flag default setting is Y, for active, so the server is active as soon as it is added to Calyx RIM. DMS servers can be deactivated or activated again at any time after configuration.
  7. In the Host Name field, enter the name of the OpenText Content Server host.
  8. In the Port field, enter the port number of the OpenText Content Server. (Default value is 2099. Port is specified in the opentext.ini file. This file can be found on the OpenText Content Server host in the <LIVELINK_HOME>\config directory.)
  9. To save the new DMS server settings, click Save.
