Create a Registration Attachment
Calyx RIM provides the ability to create a Registration Attachment that can be associated with a Full Product Presentation.
Note: All new Registration Attachments are displayed as
Active by default.
To create a Registration Attachment:
- On the home page, go to New (go to step 2) or select Create a New from the I Am Looking To pane (go to step 3)
-
Select
Registration Attachment.
The Create Registration Attachment page appears.
-
Enter the attributes (Attachment Name and
Attachment Version are required fields).
Note: If you set the Use Rendition field to Yes, a message states that you are about to use the rendition file and you need to check if the extension type in the File Name and File Type fields is entered correctly. Click OK to continue.
-
Do one of the following:
- To save the attachment, click Save. The Registration Attachment page appears.
- To save this attachment and create another one, click
Create Another Registration Attachment.
When the valid attachment with the pdf, doc, docx, xls or xlsx extension is selected in the Attachment Link field, the following fields are automatically updated with values:
- Attachment Name
- File Name and appropriate extension
- File Type
- Attachment Version
Note: The Attachment Version field will be auto-populated with value only if the attachment is selected from the Documentum DMS repository.
If the selected file is not valid, then the Attachment Name, File Name, File Type, and Attachment Version are not auto-populated.
When the File Name field is auto-populated with a value that exceeds the limit of 200 characters, the appropriate warning message is displayed when you save the entity.
After the changes are saved with the auto-populated values and you modify the Registration Attachment, clicking Clear next to the Attachment Link field does not clear those values.
