Use the GPP Wizard to Modify Package Set Details

Using the Global Project Planning (GPP) wizard, you can modify the properties of approved package sets at the package set level, such as shelf life and storage conditions, for the package sets associated with the PDSs selected in a project. The changes you make with the package set PDS project wizard are applied to all the approved package sets you select.

Note: The procedure below is a continuation of the Update Product Detail Sets project in the GPP wizard. The procedure presented in Creating an Update Product Detail Set Project must be initiated first.
To modify package set details from the Select Action page of the GPP wizard:
  1. Select Modify Package Set on the Select Action page.
  2. Click Next.
  3. On the first Modify Package Set page, select the product families containing products that have PDSs with the approved package sets that you want to update.
  4. Click Next.
  5. On the second Modify Package Set page, modify package set properties.
    • To modify an attribute, click the check box next to the attribute field and then specify a value. If you select a check box and leave the associated field blank, the package set property is updated with a blank value.
    • Only the property attributes you check will be updated. The values for unchecked property attributes will remain unchanged in the package set you are updating.
  6. Click Next.
    The Perform another PDS Action page opens.
  7. Do one of the following:
    • Click Yes to return to the Select Action page to select another update PDS action.
    • Click No to proceed to the Summary page of the GPP wizard.
  8. Click Next.
    One of the following occurs:
    • If you selected Yes in step 7, the package set attributes are modified in the PDSs that you selected in step 3, and you return to the Select Action page of the GPP wizard.
    • If you selected No in step 7, the Summary page opens. Go to step 9.
  9. On the Summary page, do one of the following:
    • Select the project link on the Summary page to review the new project you created.
    • Click Finish. You are returned to the view from which you invoked the GPP wizard.
  10. To view the project after you close the GPP wizard:
    1. Click Home.
    2. Click Projects.
    3. Click the link for the project that you just created.
    4. To view the details that GPP modified, navigate to the PDS.
