Delete GPP Projects

If you have the proper permissions, you can delete a Global Project Planning (GPP) project and all its associated entities.

You must have Administrative privileges to the project entity.

Note: Administrative privileges to the project entity supersede other security rights. This means when deleting a project, a user with administrative right to the project entity can delete other entities that he may not have rights to outside of GPP, such as applications, events, notifications and PDSs.

Rules Determining When a Project Cannot Be Deleted

A project cannot be deleted when:

  • An approved PDS detail is associated with an event that is associated with the project.
  • For projects mapped to the internal type Create New Applications Package Set Registration, if any single application associated with the project has another event associated with it, that is, another event in addition to the Create New Application event.
  • For projects mapped to the internal type Create New Events Product Registration the project cannot be deleted if any event associated with the project is associated with a registration.
  • For projects mapped to the internal type Withdraw Product Package Set Registrations the project cannot be deleted if any events associated with the project were previously closed.
