Modify PDS Details

To modify PDS details:
  1. Click a link for the event whose PDS detail you want to modify.
Note: The event for which you want to modify the PDS detail must be open.
  2. On the Product Detail Sets tab, click the PDS that contains the detail to be modified.
    The PDS page appears.
  3. In the left pane of the PDS page, locate the PDS detail you want to modify.
  4. Determine whether QC statuses are being used with PDS details.
If the PDS detail attributes in the right pane include the QC Status attribute and the value of that attribute is not Not Applicable, QC statuses are being used with PDS details.
  5. Right-click the PDS detail, and choose Modify or Modify Status:
    • If QC statuses are not being used with PDS details, you can use the Modify option to modify any attribute of the PDS detail. You can also use the Modify Status option to modify the Status attribute of the PDS detail.
    • If QC statuses are being used with PDS details, you can use the Modify option to modify the PDS detail attributes, except to assign the final value Approved or Not Approved to the Status attribute. In that case make sure that you use the Modify Status option because that option never changes the QC Status attribute.

Using the Modify option always changes the QC Status attribute back to the default, set in Data Administration. The default is a value, such as Not QC'd, that might be different from the value that the QC Status attribute has before you assign a final value to the Status attribute.

If QC statuses are being used with PDS details, you can always use the Modify Status option to assign a value to the Status attribute.

After you choose Modify or Modify Status, the PDS Detail Attributes page appears in the right pane.

  6. Enter your changes to the attribute values.
Note: On the PDS Detail Attribute page, the value for Status defaults to Pending. Before saving your changes, confirm that the status for the PDS detail is properly set.
  7. Save.
Note: If QC statuses are being used with PDS details and you modified the detail by using the Modify option, the QC status attribute changes back to the default.
