Use the Global Project Plan Wizard

The Global Project Plan (GPP) wizard allows you to create and update multiple entities in bulk.

The following are considerations that should be taken into account when using the GPP functionality:

  • Every project creates a new event and, for any PDS actions performed with a GPP wizard, the PDS and related products are associated with that event.
  • For CP applications, the wizard automatically assigns the European Union country to the created events.
  • For National and MRP applications, the wizard automatically assigns the reviewing country from the applications to the events.
  • For MRP applications created, only the reviewing country is associated to the newly created applications and events. You must manually associate the concerned member states after the project is created.  If you are using timeline/event plans you will have the ability to copy lead times from event-countries associated to the event when updating the event.
  • For all application types, the event-country status is assigned to each country when the event is created.
  • Projected status dates will not be calculated if the pivot status selected is not included in the chosen timeline/event plan.
  • Confirmation pages appear during the execution of the wizard that indicate entities are being created, even though the wizard is still in progress. If the wizard is prematurely terminated after these confirmation screens, the entities created still exist in Calyx RIM.
  • Excessive back-and-forth navigation through the GPP wizard using the Back and Next buttons can lead to unexpected results.
  • When the Finish button appears on a page, the selections you made to that point in the wizard have resulted in the creation of, or modifications to, a project. At this point, you can exit the wizard with your settings saved, or progress through the subsequent sections of the wizard choosing additional settings. If you choose to progress through the wizard beyond the point where the Finish button appeared, the Cancel button will discard only pending changes made beyond that point.
