Calyx RIM 6.2 CHF 1 Release Notes

This document describes a certified hotfix (CHF) provided to improve Calyx RIM 6.2. In addition to enhanced features and functionality, Calyx RIM 6.2 CHF 1 resolves issues that were reported to Technical Support. Our hotfixes are cumulative packages applied to a named version of our software.

As a certified hotfix, these updates have undergone Quality Control regression testing, certifying the system works as expected. These changes will not create a new code branch, but will be identified by the updated build number on the existing codeline of each version affected, not a new release number.

Prerequisites

Calyx RIM 6.2 CHF 1 requires overrides updates. Please allow 6 to 8 weeks for XML overrides review and updates. For details, please contact your Business Development Representative to consult with our Client Enablement team.

To enable the drag-and-drop from Veeva DMS functionality, the appropriate configurations need to be done in the Internet Explorer browser. Please review the procedures in the LIQUENT InSight 6.2 CHF 1 Installation Guide topic Internet Explorer: Enabling the Drag-and-Drop from Veeva DMS and make sure that the necessary configurations are applied. If you experience any difficulties in configuring the Internet Explorer browser to enable the drag-and-drop functionality, please contact Technical Support.

The following conditions must exist for D2 Forms when created via Calyx RIM 6.2 CHF 1:
  • All forms (Product Registration Form, Project Registration Form, Regulatory Application Registration Form, and Submission Registration Form) have external_system_attribute in the properties list.
  • The flag for external_system_attribute is always set to True.
  • The value for the external_system_attribute cannot be empty.
  • All forms (Product Registration Form, Project Registration Form, Regulatory Application Registration Form, and Submission Registration Form) are currently created in Active status in D2 as the required fields in D2 SDK are either equal or subset of the required fields in Calyx RIM 6.2 for that entity.

Open Text Documentum D2 Integration

This release provides the ability to differentiate between procedure types on the forms in an OpenText Documentum D2 application.

Users will be able to uniquely identify the description fields on forms in OpenText Documentum D2 application.

The following D2 Data Dictionaries are no longer automatically synchronized with Data Administration entities, but can be synchronized via configuration files as needed:
  • Application Procedure Type
  • GMP Drug Product Manufacturer
  • GMP Drug Substance Manufacturer

Data Administration

The IDMP Internal Procedure Code field has been renamed to External System Procedure Type Code in the Data Administration > Application Maintenance > Procedure Type Values attributes page. Calyx RIM 6.2 CHF 1 requires External System Procedure Type Code to be configured to be a required field via overrides, such as the meta.overrides.xml file.

Veeva DMS Support Enhancements

Calyx RIM 6.2 CHF 1 enables you to drag-and-drop documents directly from the Veeva Vault window to the assembly.

This release significantly reduces the number of API calls that Calyx RIM performs to get data from Veeva DMS. This may avoid errors occurring due to the number of calls exceeding the Veeva Burst API Count limit.

Veeva Objects Cache

When you use the Veeva DMS, the number of requests accepted by Veeva Vault from Calyx RIM and other integrated systems is limited by the Burst API Count value specific for each Veeva Vault. Calyx RIM 6.2 CHF 1 leverages the Veeva Bulk API calls with an internal cache. This will decrease the chance of encountering 5-minute API burst restrictions imposed by Veeva Vault. This enhancement reduces the chance of exceeding the number of API calls allowed within a Veeva Vault. The optimal cache lifetime depends on the following factors:

  • Burst API Count value for the Veeva Vault (the higher the Veeva objects cache timeout value, the fewer API calls are made by Calyx RIM to Veeva)
  • Keeping the data up-to date

You can change the default Veeva cache timeout that is set to 3 minutes to be any other integer value. See Configuring the Veeva Cache Timeout Setting.

The behavior of the following Document attributes has been changed to provide better Veeva calls consumption:
  • Has Relations
  • Owner

See Entity Fields Updated: Calyx RIM 6.2 CHF 1.
