A multi-repository domain requires a separate server running an Oracle database.
An Oracle database running on a separate server is required for a multiple-repository
Liquent InSight Rendering domain. Use this procedure to set up an external database for your
Liquent InSight Rendering domain.
Note: The following procedure should only be performed on the first repository server to be added to the a multiple-repository
Liquent InSight Rendering domain.
To establish an external database for a
Liquent InSight Rendering domain:

In the left pane of
Domain Manager, click the
Configuration tab.

At the top of the directory tree, right-click
Domain and choose
Properties.
The Domain Properties dialog opens.

Click the
Database tab.

To use Oracle, it must already be installed on a database server with the
Liquent InSight Rendering tables created, see Oracle requirements.

Do the following:

For
Service, specify the Oracle server database service that you created when you installed the Oracle Client on the repository server.

Enter
VISTA1 for the user, and then enter the password defined when the database was established.

After confirming the database is installed and started on the database server, and that the database tables have been created, click
Test Database.

Click
Test Database once the tables have been created. A dialog stating that the Database test was successful appears.

Click
OK in the Domain Properties dialog box.

When prompted, click
Yes to confirm that you want to change to the Oracle database.

Select
to save your changes.

Restart the
Liquent InSight Rendering server.
