Windows SharePoint Communication Prerequisites

Prerequisites for the Windows SharePoint Communication portion of InSight Rendering

  • The Windows firewall must be disabled on the InSight Rendering server.
  • The Windows WebClient service must be started on the InSight Rendering server.
  • You must install the Desktop Experience so that the WebClient service is present.
  • You must set security on the InSight Rendering server so that your SharePoint login credentials are persisted. Go to Start > Control Panel > Internet Options, and then click the Security tab. With the Internet zone selected, click Custom Level. Under User Authentication > Logon, select Automatic logon with current username and password. Restart the server.
  • You must install the LIQUENT SharePoint Web service on the SharePoint server. See “Installing the SharePoint Web Services” in this document for instructions. Note that this release of  Liquent InSight Rendering uses a new Sharepoint Web Connector.  Liquent InSight Rendering  4.4 is not certified against the older, pre-4.2 connector version, so you will have to upgrade this on your Sharepoint server. If you have a mixed system (you will be using a pre-4.2 version of Liquent InSight Rendering as well as ), you may leave the current connector on the Sharepoint server and install this one. They can co-exist on the same Sharepoint server, but they will have different URLs.
