Configure Microsoft Outlook 2016

If you intend to use Outlook to render e-mail messages, you must configure Outlook to have an e-mail box. Configure this per your company’s guidelines. It would be best to use the service account as the Outlook entity.

If you are not already logged in, login to the  Liquent InSight Rendering Server as local administrator.
  1. Launch Microsoft Outlook.
  2. In Microsoft Outlook, click File > Options.
  3. Click General.
  4. Under User Interface options, set the ScreenTip style to Don't Show ScreenTips option.
  5. Under Start up options, clear the Make Outlook the default program for E-mail, Contacts, and Calendar option.
  6. Click Mail and then under Save Messages, clear the following options.
    • Automatically save items that have not been sent after this many minutes
    • Save forwarded messages
    • Save copies of messages in the Sent Items folder
  7. Under Tracking, set the option For any messages received that includes a read receipt request to Never send a read receipt.
  8. Click Search and then under Sources, clear the Show prompt to enable Instant Search option.
  9. Click Advanced and then under Outlook start and exit, clear the Empty Deleted Items folders when exiting Outlook option.
  10. Under Reminders, clear the following options:
    • Show reminders
    • Play reminder sound
  11. Under Other, clear the Prompt for confirmation before permanently deleting items option.
  12. Click Trust Center.
    1. Under Microsoft Outlook Trust Center, click Trust Center Settings.
    2. Click Privacy Options and then clear all options.
  13. Click Automatic Download and clear the Warn me before downloading content when editing, forwarding, or replying to e-mail option.
  14. To close the Outlook Options dialog box, click OK twice.
  15. Close Microsoft Outlook.
    If you are asked to save the changes to the document, select No.
