Reserve Ports

  1. Select Start > Run.
  2. Type regedit, and press Enter.
  3. Navigate to HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters.
  4. Right-click in a blank spot in the right pane, and click New > Multi-String Value.
  5. Name the new item ReservedPorts, and press Enter.
  6. Press Enter to edit the value.
  7. For Value data, type the following on one line: 2866-2872
  8. Click OK.
  9. Close the registry editor.
