New in Calyx RIM Viewing 5.5 CHF 5

The following enhancements, functional changes, and updates are included with this release.

New Application Framework

The Kendo UI framework has been implemented for Calyx RIM Viewing 5.5 CHF 5 and replaces the Adobe Flex/Apache Flex application framework. The Flex application framework is no longer supported. The modern, all-inclusive HTML5/JS Kendo UI framework provides a number of improvements, including: security, high performance, and enhanced client-side UI functionality.

Adobe Flash Not Supported After 2020

Adobe support for Flash Player ends 31 December 2020. Also, Microsoft announced plans to completely remove Flash support from all versions of their browsers by 31 December 2020. Please see the following links for details:
Important: After December 31, 2020, Calyx RIM Viewing 5.5 CHF 5 will be the only supported version of Calyx RIM Viewing. Upgrade to Calyx RIM Viewing 5.5 CHF 5 for continued functionality and support after 2020.

PingOne Identity Provider Support

The single sign-on (SSO) feature extends support for Server Settings configuration, including multiple SSO Identity Providers (IdP). This feature enables anyone who is authenticated by your enterprise SSO to login using third-party authentication provider PingOne within the Calyx RIM Viewing application, in addition to Microsoft Azure and Okta. They will be able to reuse their identity when navigating between Calyx RIM and Calyx RIM Viewing, supporting more than one SSO provider for a given instance of Calyx RIM Viewing.

Updated ZA Support

Calyx RIM Viewing 5.5 CHF 5 supports the South Africa eCTD Module 1 specification 3.0 (ZA eCTD v3.0).

China NMPA Support

Calyx RIM Viewing 5.5 CHF 5 supports the new China NMPA eCTD version 1.0 (draft, dated 17 September 2019).

Calyx RIM Viewing 5.5 CHF 5 includes a new feature for China NMPA eCTD version 1.0 that translates the names of TOC folders. Moving the pointer over Module 1 in a TOC shows the Chinese text in English and moving the pointer over Modules 2-5 in a TOC shows the English text in Chinese.

Updated CH Support

Calyx RIM Viewing 5.5 CHF 5 introduces functionality related to the CH eCTD Module 1 Version 1.5 regulatory updates.

Updated Settings

The Change Themes and TOC Font Size options are not available for Calyx RIM Viewing 5.5 CHF 5.

Controls and Navigation

The format of the build number that appears on the About page is changed.

New Internet Browser Support

Calyx RIM Viewing 5.5 CHF 5 supports for Google Chrome web browser.
