Internet Explorer SmartScreen Filter

SmartScreen Filter checks files that you download from the Web against a list of reported malicious software sites and programs known to be unsafe. If it finds a match, SmartScreen Filter notifies you that the download has been blocked for your safety.

SmartScreen Filter also checks the files that you download against a list of files that are downloaded by many Internet Explorer users. If the file you are downloading is not on that list, SmartScreen Filter will warn you.

If the PC where Liquent SmartLink for PDF is installed does not have Internet access, the SmartScreen Filter check will run until it times out after it cannot verify the downloaded content because the PC has no Internet access.

If you notice a performance lag when performing the Check-Out document operation (from InSight) or when browsing for an external link, set your SmartScreen Filter to Off.
