Link Type Limitations
This table shows the types of links you can create according to the source of the PDF file you opened.
- a file system
- a DMS
- an in-process PDF rendition from InSight
| Link type | PDF opened from |
|---|---|
| Internal link to a page within the same PDF | File system/DMS only |
| External link to a page in another PDF | File system/DMS only |
| A comment link that serves as a placeholder | File system/DMS or InSight |
| A link to another PDF within an InSight assembly | InSight only |
Note: If the link target is a native leaf or a bookmark within a leaf of a previous sequence, the link will resolve to the first page of the document regardless of which page or bookmark you have selected as the target.
Note: Starting with Liquent SmartLink for PDF 1.8, the create and update support for post-publishing links is discontinued.
