Known Issues: Linking plug-in (PDF) 1.8

The following general issues and module-specific issues were known at the time this document was published.

Issues Description
SL-632 Linking plug-in (PDF) does not display the Assembly Tree in the Link Stamper dialog window if the user has opened a PDF file with Acrobat, closed the file, and then opened it again with Calyx RIM. As a workaround, select LIQUENT SmartLink > Link and Bookmark Manager, then LIQUENT SmartLink > Link Stamper and the Assembly Tree in the Link Stamper dialog window will be displayed correctly.
SL-627 Due to an issue with a function in the Acrobat Software Developer Kit, when a user has open documents with In-Process links and tries to minimize one, instead of being minimized, the document becomes the active one. This is an issue in Acrobat DC Classic (2015) and Acrobat 2017 and does not occur in Acrobat DC.

Using Linking plug-in (PDF) within Calyx RIM to create links in a document, you cannot select text. You can only select a physical region in a document. As a workaround, use the region functionality or use Keyword linking.

Using the Linking plug-in (PDF) Link Stamper in a PDF document, you cannot link to a bookmark in another PDF document. However, you can create a link to the page. It is possible to link to bookmarks if you are creating Calyx RIM links, but this must to be done through Calyx RIM (Publisher).
