Search Options Reference
This table describes search functions available in Linking add-in (Word).
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Match case | Distinguishes between uppercase and lowercase characters. When Match case is selected, Linking add-in (Word) finds only those instances in which the capitalization matches the text you typed in the Find What field. When you use wildcards, this option is disabled. |
| Find all word forms | Finds all forms of an English word in the Find What field. For example, if walk is typed in the Find What field, Linking add-in (Word) will find walk, walks, and walked. |
| Use wildcards | Searches for wildcards you added to the Find What field. If the Use wildcards checkbox is cleared, Linking add-in (Word) considers the wildcards to be plain text. |
| Find whole word only | Searches for occurrences that are whole words and not part of a larger word. When you use wildcards, this option is disabled. |
