Tables
Use the Tables tab functions to insert standardized or custom tables, and to split tables within a Word document at the point of the cursor. This section describes procedures for using the Table functions.
Word requires all table heading number styles to remain consistent throughout a document. If you change the established table heading style in a document, all tables within your document will be transformed to the newly selected style and table numbering may be corrupted. It is best practice to determine your table heading style before starting a document, and then maintain that table heading style throughout the document.
