New In This Release

With Liquent SmartDesk for Authoring, CompanyName aims to provide an enterprise solution for creating submission content. The  Liquent SmartDesk for Authoring macro technology provides authors with a safe way to create more professional looking documents in a shorter amount of time.

The following new and enhanced features are available with this release:
  • Additional tools to aid with conforming documents to the Liquent SmartDesk for Authoring template styles
  • Updated CTD templates with regulatory guidance text included for creating CTD and eCTD content reflecting the most current guidance information
  • Microsoft® Word® Ribbon integration
  • Independent Options window to adjust default settings for Liquent SmartDesk for Authoring functions

SmartDesk styles and document conformity

SmartDesk 3.2 enables you to conform a document to the SmartDesk styles using new options in the Manage Styles window:
  • Document Styles
  • Promote Headings and Remove Manual numbering
  • Paragraph styles

Content templates

With the this release of Liquent SmartDesk for Authoring, all content templates have been revised to use Times New Roman (base font) with the bold property set to true for the Title and TOC Title styles.

Graphical user interface (GUI)

Liquent SmartDesk for Authoring 3.2 is now integrated into the Word Ribbon. All SmartDesk commands are quickly available in the Liquent SmartDesk for Authoring tab, in addition to the familiar SmartDesk Launch Window. Configure SmartDesk Ribbon options

SmartDesk 3.2 provides you with the ability to adjust default settings for the various SmartDesk Ribbon options in the following categories.
  • Tables and Figure Titles
  • General (Save Document)
  • Tables
  • Document
