TOCLinker Options
| Option | Description |

| By Region | This option allows you to select the contents in the TOC to create links and bookmarks. When this option is selected, the TOC Linker window disappears and a cross hair appears. Use the cross hair and draw a box around the TOC. Upon selection of the area, the TOC Linker window reappears. |
| Create Links | Selecting this option will create the links for the TOC items. When this option is checked, the Link Settings are enabled, allowing you to select Link Settings. |
| Create Bookmarks | Checking this option will create the bookmarks for the TOC items. When this option is checked the Bookmark Settings are enabled allowing you to select the Bookmark Settings. |
| Magnification | Select a magnification level for the bookmarks and links from the drop-down list. The other options available are Fit Page, Actual Size, Fit Width, Fit Visible and Inherit Zoom. |
| Delete Existing Links on Selected Page(s) | Checking this option will delete all the existing links on the page(s) selected. |
| Delete Existing Bookmarks | Checking this option will delete all the existing bookmarks in the file. |

Dots /Underscores/Spaces |
Creates bookmarks/links only to those items of the TOC which matches the tab leader you select. |

Numeric /Alpha/Roman |
Creates bookmarks/links only to those items of the TOC which matches the number type you select. |
| Current Page | Creates bookmarks/links only to the current page items of the TOC. |
| Pages | Creates bookmarks/links only to those items of the TOC which exists within the specified page range. |
| Use Exact Page Number from TOC | Creates links to those page numbers which are defined in the TOC. |
| Apply Offset | Creates links to that page whose page number is the sum of the value you enter in
Apply Offset and the page number of the item in TOC. For example: If the page number of an item in TOC is 2 and under
Apply Offset you enter 2, a link will be created to page 4.
You can also use a negative value to create a link to a page that exists before a page in the TOC. For example: If the page number of an item in TOC is 4 and under Apply Offset you enter -2, a link will be created to page 2. |
| Link Settings | This option is enabled when Create Links is selected in the General Settings. The links can be visible or invisible rectangles based on the option selected in the Link Settings. When the option Link Rectangle Visible is checked, the options related to link appearance are enabled. |
| Line Style | Determines the border style of the link rectangle. Options are Solid and Dashed. Choose the desired line style from the drop down list. |
| Line Width | Determines the border width of the link rectangle. Options are Thin, Medium and Thick. Choose the desired line width from the drop down list. |
| Text Color | To change the color of the link text (within the rectangle), select a color from the drop down list. The options on the list are Black, White, Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow. Select Custom to choose a custom color Color window. If no color change is required, select Current. |
| Rectangle Color | Choose the desired color from the drop down list. |
| Highlight | Select one of the highlighting options. 'None' causes no affect on the appearance of a link when the link is selected. 'Invert' changes the link's outline color to its opposite when the link is selected. 'Outline' changes the link's color to its opposite when the link is selected. 'Inset' creates the appearance of an embossed rectangle when the link is selected. |
| Use Default | Use this option to use the default settings for Line Style, Line Width, Text Color, Rectangular Color and Highlight as specified in the Global Link Settings. To make changes to the default settings, refer to Global Link Settings. |
| Bookmark Settings | Use the options under this to change the bookmark appearance. This option is enabled when Create Bookmarks is selected in General Settings. |
| Font Style | Select the desired font style for the bookmark text. Options are Plain, Bold, Italic, and Bold & Italic. |
| Text Color | Select the desired color from the drop down list. |
| Determine Bookmark Level From | Use the options under this to define the bookmark hierarchy or levels. |
| Indentation in TOC | When this option is selected, the bookmarks level will be the same as the indentations in the TOC. This option can be selected when there is no outline numbering for the TOC items but indentation exists. |
| Outline numbering in TOC | If this option is selected the bookmark levels will be determined from the outline numbering in the TOC. This option can be selected when there is outline numbering for the TOC items. |
| None | This option will set all the bookmarks at the same level. |
| Preferences | When By Region is not selected, i.e., no area is selected on a page, the top and bottom margin areas are excluded as specified in the Preferences. By default, it excludes 72 pts (1 inch) from the top and bottom of the page. Click the Preferences button to open the window and change the default by entering a value between 1 to 144 pts. |
| Create | After the required user input is provided, click Create to perform the bookmark and link creation. After successful creation, a status report is displayed informing you the number of links and bookmarks created. Click OK to close the window. |
| Cancel | Click this button to cancel the process and close the window. |
