Optimize PDF Options
To select a row in the tabular display, click the selector box to the left of that row.

| Add Current File |
Use Add Current File to add the active document to Optimize PDF. To add the opened document in Adobe Acrobat, click the
Add Current File icon or select
Add Current File in the
File menu. The
Optimize PDF window displays the document.
Note: If multiple documents are open in Adobe Acrobat, only the active document is added.

| Add File(s) |
Use Add File(s) to add multiple PDF files from a single folder. Files from a different folder can be added by repeating this action. To add files, click the Add File(s) icon or select Add File(s) from the File menu. The Select File window appears. Select one or more PDF files in a folder and click Open. The Select File window closes and the document information fields from the selected files are displayed in the window. |

Use Add Folder to add all PDF files from a selected folder. To add files from a folder:

| Remove File(s) | To remove a file from the display, select the row in which the file is displayed and click the Remove File icon, or select Remove File on the File menu. This will remove the selected row. |
| Remove Folder | To remove all files in a folder, select the row in which the folder is displayed and click the Remove Folder icon, or select Remove Folder from the File menu. This will remove all the files in the selected folder. |
| Remove All | To clear the tabular display completely and remove all files, click the Remove All icon, or select Remove All from the File menu. |
| View Document | To view a document, select a row and click the View Document icon, or select View Document from the Action menu. The selected document will open in Acrobat, in the background. |
| Optimizer |
After the selected files/folders are added to the Optimize PDF window, the files can be optimized for fast web view by either clicking the Optimize PDF icon or by selecting Optimize from the Action menu.
Note: If no bookmarks are found, the Initial View is set to
Page Only.

| Rescan | Rescan a file or set of files if they have been modified by clicking the Rescan icon or by selecting Rescan from the Action menu. This displays the updated information in the main window. |
| Export |
Document information from the window can be exported to a comma delimited (CSV) file for later use. To save document information, either click the Export icon or select Export on the Action menu. The Export Optimize PDF Details window appears. Select a CSV file from this window either by manually entering the file name and path or by clicking the ellipses button and navigating to the folder. If the selected file name is already in use, an option message appears. Click Yes to overwrite that file, or No to return to the window and select a new file name. |
| Select PDF version | To optimize the document(s) to a PDF version, click the Select PDF version option, select the version and click OK. |
| Close |
To exit the application, click the Close icon or select Close from the File menu. Note: Depending upon your version of Adobe Acrobat and the settings you establish within it, if a source document is open and you open a different document, a message may appear indicating that the source document has changed. This message appears only to ensure you are aware that the tool is now referring to a source document that differs from the original. It does not signify that the source document has been modified.
