QuickLinker Options
| Option | Description |

| Internal Link | Use this link type to link to a specified page within the active document. |
| External Link | Use this link type to link to a specified page in another document. |
| Open File | Use this link type to open another document. |
| World Wide Web Link | Use this link type to link to a web site. |
| Link to Page | This option is used with Internal and External link types to specify the destination page to link. When this option is selected, the pages in the document are listed in the drop-down next to Destination. |
| Destination | This option is used with Internal and External link types to specify the named destination to link in a document. When this option is selected, the named destinations in the document are listed in the drop-down next to Destination. |
| File | This option is used with External Links and Open File file types to browse/select the document you want to link to. |
| View | This option is used to view the document selected using File. |
| All Pages | Select this option to apply the settings you choose in the QuickLinker window to all the pages in the document. |
| Pages |
Select this option to apply the settings you choose in the QuickLinker window to a specific page range in the document. For example, in a document of 10 pages, if you enter 5 in the first box and 10 in the second box next to the Pages option, the settings you have chosen in the QuickLinker window will apply only to the links in the pages from 5 to 10. Note: The
All Pages and

option works only for

| Default Settings | Select this option to use the default settings for link properties. To make changes to the default settings, refer to Global Link Settings. |
| FDA/ICH Guidelines | Selecting the FDA Guidelines, the link settings will be configured to match the FDA guidelines. |
| Custom Settings | Selecting this option lets you use the various link settings as per your requirements. |
| Rectangle Visible | Determines if the link rectangle is visible or not. By default this box is not checked, and the rectangle is not visible. |
| Line Style | Determines the border style of the link rectangle. The options are Solid and Dashed. |
| Line Width | Determines the border width of the link rectangle. Options are Thin, Medium, and Thick. |
| Rectangle Color | Determines the border color of the link rectangle. Select a color from the list to change the color. The options on the list are Black, White, Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow. Select Custom to choose a custom color in the Color window. If no color change is required, select Current. |
| Text Color | To change the color of the link text (within the rectangle), select a color from the drop down list. The options on the list are Black, White, Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow. Select Custom to choose a custom color in the Color window. If no color change is required, select Current. |
| Highlight | Select one of the highlighting options. None causes no affect on the appearance of a link when the link is selected. Inset creates the appearance of an embossed rectangle when the link is selected. Invert changes the link's outline color to its opposite when the link is selected. Outline changes the link's color to its opposite when the link is selected. |
| Magnification | Select a magnification level for the links from the drop-down list. The other options available are Fit Page, Actual Size, Fit Width, Fit Visible, and Inherit Zoom. |
| Text | Using this option lets you select text in a document and then create a link from selected text. To create a link for text, select Text and select/highlight the text using the mouse and click on Link. If the option Link on Selection is checked, the link is created as soon as the text is selected/highlighted without you having to click on Link. The link created for the text will resolve to the destination specified under Action. |
| Region | Using this option lets you select a region in a document and then create a link from this selected region. To create a link from a region, select Region and select the region by drawing a rectangular box using the mouse and click on Link. If the option Link on Selection is checked, the link is created as soon as the region is selected by drawing the rectangular box without you having to click on Link. The link created for the region will resolve to the destination specified under Action. |
| Select Text |
Using this option lets you search for a text/phrase by selecting the text/phrase. You can then create links to this text or phrase. To search for a text/phrase using Select Text, select the Select Text radio button and select the text or a phrase. Clicking on Find Next will highlight the next instance of the text/phrase in the document. To search for a text with specific color, choose the color from the color palette next to the Select Text button. Also, you can select text and search for all the instances of it in the document. To do so, click on Select Text button and then select/highlight the text using the mouse. The selected text/phrase is displayed in the text box. Clicking on the Find Next will highlight the next instance of the selected text in the document. Clicking on Link All will create links to all the text/phrase identified in the document. Clicking on Link will create link only to the text highlighted in the document. |
| Cancel | Clicking on Cancel will clear the text in the text box. |
| Close | Clicking on Close will close the QuickLinker window. |
| Save Keyword List |
The Save Keyword List will save details of all the text identified using the Text and Select Text options. The details will include the keyword or the text identified to create links, the color, action type, destination, page no and the reference number. The details are saved in a .CSV file. To save the keyword list, click on the browse button and navigate to the location where you want to save the file. Enter the file name and click on Save. To append the keywords details to an existing file, check the option Append if exists navigate to the existing file using the browse button and click on Save. If the option Append if exists is not selected, the recently searched keywords will replace the existing keywords. |
| Hide Details | Clicking this will hide all the functions except the Action and Selection Method. |
| Show Details | This option is available when you have used the Hide Details option. Clicking Show Details will display all the functions of QuickLinker. |
