PDF Page Verifier Options

Option Description
Load Active Document Use this option to load the currently active document in Acrobat.
Select Document(s) Select this option to load one or more files to the Page Verifier.
Select Folder(s) Select this option to load all files in a specific folder.
Page Size Use this option to identify and verify the page size (A4 or Letter). If the page size cannot be identified as A4 or Letter, it displays the status as Unknown. If the document contains both A4 and Letter size pages, it displays the status as Mixed.
Page Orientation Select this option to identify and verify the page orientation (Portrait or Landscape). If the page orientation cannot be identified as either Portrait or Landscape, the result is displayed as Unknown. If the document contains both Portrait and Landscape, it displays the status as Mixed.
Page Contents Use this option to verify the page contents (Text, Image, Unknown, Mixed, Blank, Text/Blank, Mixed/Blank, Image/Blank).
Units Displays the units option for page margins: Inches, Millimeters, Centimeters, and Points.
Page Margins Use this option to verify that the page contents fit within the specified margins.
Top The size of the blank space at the top of the page.
Bottom The size of the blank space at the bottom of the page.
Left The size of the blank space at the left side of the page.
Right The size of the blank space at the right side of the page.
Results – Document Level Shows the Page Verifier results at the document level, identifying the general results.
Remove File/Folder To remove a file or folder from the PDF Page Verification, select the file in the Results-Document Level table and right-click.
Help Click the Help icon to open this online user documentation.
Preferences

Use Preferences to set the position of the Page Level Details window. You can also use Preferences to define the values for the page width and height against which the document can be verified.

  • Selecting the option Display the page level detail dialog on top of the main dialog, will display the Page Level details result window on top of the main dialog. If the option is not selected, the Page Level details result window appears to the right of the Document Level window.
  • Define the width and height values for A4 and Letter tab pages. The PDF Page Verifier tool verifies the document against these values and determines whether the document is A4 Tab Page or Letter Tab Page. The result is displayed under Page Size in the Page Level Details window.
Export Use this option to export the report details of the PDF page verification to the selected CSV file. Check the Document Level Report option to export the document level details. Check the Page Level Report option to export the page level details. Select the All Files option to export the report details for all files. The Selected Files option will export the report details for the selected files.
Show Details (Page Level dialog) Select the Show Details option to get the details of the result for each page. If you click on a row of the table, the destination page will be displayed. If you click on the row for a second time, the margins will be indicated by a red box on the selected page.
Hide Details Select this option to hide the page level result details.
Rescan If any changes are made to a file or a set of files displayed in the tabular view, you have the option to re-scan. The updated information is displayed, which enables you to review the changes.
Verify Use this option to verify the specified file attributes.
Cancel Use the Cancel option to exit the window.
Note: Depending upon your version of Adobe Acrobat and the settings you establish within it, if a source document is open and you open a different document, a message indicates that the source document has changed. This message appears only to ensure you are aware that the tool is now referring to a source document that differs from the original. It does not signify that the source document has been modified.
