Cross Linker Options
| Option | Description |

| Load Active Document | Use Load Active Document to load the currently active document in Acrobat. |
| All Pages | Select this option to search for a keyword on all pages of the source document. |
| Include Pages | Select this option to specify the pages or the page range in which Cross Linker will search for the keyword(s). Enter desired page range using hyphens (1-10) or comma (1,2,3) to the include pages area. |
| Exclude Pages | Select this option to specify the pages or the page range in which Cross Linker will not search for the keyword(s). Enter desired page range using hyphens (1-10) or comma (1,2,3) to the exclude pages area. |
| Remove existing (overlapping) links while creating | Check this box to delete a link if a selected keyword already links to a destination. |
| Exclude Brackets, Periods, Commas | Check this box to exclude brackets, periods and commas (if present) around keywords when selecting them. |
| Keyword | Click this button to add a keyword by locating it in the source document. Use the mouse pointer to select the specific word in the open document by drawing a box around it with the cursor. This opens the Add Link Information window. |
| Add Link Information - Keyword | The selected keyword is displayed in this Keyword field automatically. You can edit the keyword as necessary. |
| Add Link Information - Keyword Color | Click the Keyword Color drop down list to specify the color of the keyword, or select the default Current to create a link around all the keywords found irrespective of their current color(s). |
| Add Link Information - File | Select a destination file by clicking File and then clicking the ellipses button to navigate to the file location. Leaving the field empty will set the destination to the same document as the source. Select the destination page in the file by entering a number in the Page No. box. Click OK to close the window, or Continue to select another keyword. |
| Add Link Information - World Wide Web Link | Click World Wide Web Link to link the keyword to a URL. The fields displayed in the window change. Enter the destination URL and click OK to close the window, or Continue to select another keyword. |
| Add Link Information - Continue | Use Continue to add more keywords to create links. |
| Add | Click this button to add a keyword by entering it in the Add Link Information window. |
| Modify | Select a row and click this button to modify the link information for that keyword. This opens the Modify Link Information window. Change any information and click OK. |
| Duplicate | Select a row and click this button to use the same link information for a new keyword. This opens the Duplicate Link Information window. Select a new keyword as required and click OK. If the selected keyword is present in the list, a warning message will be displayed. |
| Delete | Click Delete button to delete the selected row. |
| Delete All | Click Delete All button to delete all rows in the table. |
| Open Dest | Click Open Dest button to open the destination file for the selected row. This is applicable to PDF files only. |
| Link Properties | Click Link Properties button to view and/or modify the link properties for all links created. This opens the Link Properties window. |
| Link Properties - Rectangle Visible | Determines if the link rectangle is visible or not. By default this box is not checked, and the rectangle is not visible. |
| Link Properties - Rectangle Color | Determines the border color of the link rectangle. Select a color from the drop down list to change the color. The options on the list are Black, White, Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow. Select Custom to choose a custom color in the Color window. If no color change is required, select Current. |
| Link Properties - Line Style | Determines the border style of the link rectangle. The options are Solid and Dashed. |
| Link Properties - Line Width | Determines the border width of the link rectangle. Options are Thin, Medium, and Thick. |
| Link Properties - Text Color | To change the color of the link text (within the rectangle), select a color from the drop down list. The options on the list are Black, White, Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow. Select Custom to choose a custom color in the Color window. If no color change is required, select Current. |
| Link Properties - Highlight | Select one of the highlighting options. None causes no affect on the appearance of a link when the link is selected. Invert changes the link's outline color to its opposite when the link is selected. Outline changes the link's color to its opposite when the link is selected. Inset creates the appearance of an embossed rectangle when the link is selected. |
| Link Properties - Magnification | Select a magnification level for the links from the drop-down list. The other options available are Fit Page, Actual Size, Fit Width, Fit Visible, and Inherit Zoom. |
| Link Properties - Use Default | Use this option to use the default settings for Rectangle Color, Line Style, Width, Text Color, Highlight and Magnification as specified in the Global Link Settings. |
| Save Settings | To save keyword settings to a CSV file, click the ellipses button next to the Save Settings field and navigate to the desired file, or simply enter the file name in the field. Click Save Settings. |
| Load Settings | To load previously saved keyword settings, click the Load Settings button and navigate to the appropriate CSV file in the Open window and click Open. |
| Preferences | Use this option to make changes to the log file and overlapping links settings. |
| Preferences - Append to Log File | Select this option to add the current activity information to the existing log file. If this option is not selected, the existing log file will be replaced with the new log file if the specified file name and folder location are the same. |
| Preferences - Log file location path | By default, a log file is created at C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Liquent\SmartDesk\eCTDCrossLinker\eCTDCrossLinker.log. Select a different location by clicking the ellipses button next to the log file location field. In the Select File window that opens, navigate to the folder location and designate a file name to save the log files. |
| Preferences - Deleting overlapping links | Use this option to enter a number between zero and twenty-five to automatically delete links that overlap within the specified number of points. |
| Apply | Click Apply to apply the changes and create links to the selected keywords. |
| Clear | Use this option to clear all rows from the table. |
| Cancel | Use this option to close the window and abort the process. |
