Bookmark Wizard Options

The following options are available on the Bookmark Wizard tool.

Option Description
Load Active Document Click the Load Active Document icon to load the active document. This option enables you to load the document that is being worked on immediately. The file is added to the PDF File to Process section.
Add File(s) To add the selected file(s) from a single folder, click the Add File(s) icon. Files from a different folder can be added by repeating this action. The file(s) are added to the PDF File to Process section.
Add Folder To add all files from the selected folder, click the Add Folder icon. The files are added to the PDF File to Process section.
Remove Selected File(s) To remove one or more selected files, click the Remove Selected File(s) icon. Select the files that you want to remove from the PDF File to Process section, then click the icon.
Process To process the bookmarks, based on the selected Settings and Options, click the Process icon.
Settings

To view and modify settings, click the Settings icon. The Input Root Identifier indicates the bookmark heading from which the new bookmarks are processed.

The Output Root Identifier indicates the new bookmark heading under which the processed bookmarks are grouped.

The Create a back-up prior to processing option creates a back-up of the original file, before any processing takes place. The original file is placed under the BM-Wizard-backup folder. If you do not want to create a back-up file, clear this option.

View Document Use View Document to view the selected document.
Help To open the  Authoring and QC plug-in (PDF) online user guide, click the Help icon.
Exit Close the Bookmark Wizard window.
Simple Reverse Order Makes the lowest-level bookmark from the Input Root Identifier become the top-level bookmark under the Output Root Identifier.
Sort domains in alphabetical order Optional selection. When using Simple Reverse Order, choose this option to sort the bookmarks in alphabetical order.
Create by Domain only using domains present in the list provided Uses the specified bookmark headings from the template file that is indicated in the Domain List field. The template must include the following formatting and information:
  • The template must be in .csv file format.
  • The first row of the template must include the following entry, as it appears: Domain Name.
  • The list of bookmark headings (domains) must be included beneath the Domain Name entry.
Domain List Specifies the .csv file path location for the template. Click the ellipses button  to select the file and automatically update the file path location.
Delete lowest level bookmark only if the name of that bookmark is same as the domain name Optional selection. You can select this option when using the option Create by Domain only using domains present in the list provided.
Folder Name Displays the full path of the added file.
File Name Displays the name of the added file.
Status This indicates the processed status of the file. If the file has been processed, the Status field indicates Processed, otherwise it displays Not Processed.
