Splitting Documents Automatically
To automatically split the documents:

Select
SmartDesk > Publishing Tools > Split.
The Split window opens.

Select the document(s) for splitting using one of the following icons:
- Load Active Document
- Add File(s)
- Add Folder

Note: Depending upon your version of Adobe Acrobat and the settings you establish within it, if a source document is open and you open a different document, a message displays indicating that the source document has changed. This message appears only to ensure you are aware that the tool is now referring to a source document that differs from the original. It does not signify that the source document has been modified.
- To split the documents based on bookmark level, click on Bookmark Level, modify the output folder path and/or bookmark level as required and click OK and click on Split.
- To split the documents based on the bookmarks, click on Bookmark Name. Modify the output folder path and select the bookmark as required. Click OK and click on Split. The document will be split into two documents; The first document will consist of all the pages till the destination page of the bookmark you select and the second document will consist of the rest of the pages. This is applicable only for the bookmarks with Go To action.
- To split the documents based on E3 headings, click on E3 Headings and click on Yes and click on Split.
- To split multiple documents in a folder based on E3 headings, click on By Batch icon. Select the options as required in Split-Batch Process window and click on Split.
