Clone Bookmarks Options


Option	Description
Select	Select a bookmark to be cloned by selecting the check box next to its title. By default, no check boxes are selected. Bookmark selection is dependent on level. When a child bookmark (level 2 or greater) is selected, its parent is selected automatically. When a parent bookmark is cleared, all of its child bookmarks are cleared. A child bookmark cannot be selected without selecting the parent bookmark.
Title	The title of the bookmark.
Action	The bookmark action. The actions GoTo (Go to View), GoToR (Go to Page View in external document), and Launch (Open File) are currently the only actions supported. All other action items are displayed as *Not Supported*. When cloned, these unsupported bookmarks will not have any action associated with them.
Destination	The bookmark destination.
Level	The bookmark level.
Select All	Click this button to select all bookmarks.
Unselect All	Click this button to unselect all selected bookmarks.
Show Relative Path	Select this check box to display the bookmark destination path as a relative path rather than an absolute path. The number of bookmarks selected, the total number of bookmarks, and the number of PDF files selected, are displayed at the bottom of the window.
Delete Existing Bookmarks Before Cloning	Select this check box to delete existing bookmarks in the target PDFs before cloning. When checked, clone location options are disabled.
Convert Internal Bookmarks to External	Check this box to convert internal bookmark to external bookmark after the cloned bookmarks in the target PDF's.
Clone Location	Specify the clone location by entering the bookmark title (reference node in destination PDF documents). This field is case sensitive, and the text entered should match exactly the existing bookmark title in target PDF documents. When multiple occurrences of the specified Clone Location are found in target PDF documents, the first occurrence is used for cloning. If the Clone Location is not found in a target PDF document a warning message is displayed that gives the option to continue cloning in other documents or to stop the cloning process.
Clone Bookmarks Before Existing Bookmarks	Select this option to place the cloned bookmarks before the existing bookmarks in the target PDFs. Clear the selection to place the cloned bookmarks after the existing bookmarks.
Add Clone Bookmarks To an Existing Bookmarks	Select this option to add the cloned bookmarks to the existing bookmark title in the target PDFs.
Add Existing Bookmarks To Clone Bookmarks	Select this option to add the existing bookmark title to the cloned bookmarks in the target PDFs.
Bookmark Find Title	Enter the bookmark title to specify the clone location. The entered title should match exactly to the existing bookmark title in the target PDFs.
Bookmark Replace Title	Enter the bookmark title to replace the bookmark title that has been entered in bookmark find title entry.
Child	To clone selected bookmark(s) under the specified clone location (i.e., as children). If Clone Bookmarks Before Existing Bookmarks is selected, the bookmark(s) will be cloned before any existing bookmarks under the specified clone location. If this option is not checked, the selected bookmark(s) will be cloned after any existing bookmarks under the specified clone location.
Above	To clone selected bookmark(s) before the specified clone location (i.e., as left siblings). When this option is selected, the Clone Bookmarks Before Existing Bookmarks setting is not applicable.
Below	To clone selected bookmark(s) after the specified Clone Location (i.e., as right siblings). When this option is selected, the Clone Bookmarks Before Existing Bookmarks setting is not applicable.
Unclone Bookmarks	Check this box to unclone (remove) selected bookmark(s) from destination PDF documents. When checked, all previously specified clone settings are disabled. The uncloning process is performed based on bookmark title comparison and is case sensitive. When multiple occurrences are found, the first occurrence is uncloned.
Keep Children	Check this box to keep children when a parent bookmark is uncloned. When a parent bookmark is uncloned with this option checked, all children bookmarks are moved to the parent level.
Target PDF Files tab	This lets you to select the files (targets) for cloning/uncloning bookmarks.
Add Folder	Click this button to add all PDF files from a selected folder. Select the folder in the Browse for Folder window and click OK. If you add the same folder for the second time, a message will be displayed stating, "There are no valid PDF files to add in this folder". The same message also appears when there are no PDF files found in the selected folder. Note: Source PDF document cannot be added to the target PDF files list.
Add Files	Use this button to select one or more PDF files from the Select PDF file(s) for Cloning Bookmarks window that opens and click Open. Note: Source PDF document cannot be added to the target PDF files list.
Remove	Use this button to remove a file from the list. Select a PDF file from the list and click Remove.
Remove All	Use this button to remove all files from the list.
Include Subfolders	This option allows you to add PDF files from subfolders when using the Add Folder method. If this option is selected, the PDF files from all subfolders of a selected folder are added to the list. Note: Non-editable PDF documents cannot be added to the Target PDF Files list. This action will result in an error. Bookmarks with invalid and broken links are cloned with no action.
Clone/Unclone	Use this button to clone or unclone the selected bookmarks from the current active document to the PDF documents listed in Target PDF Files list. When the process is finished, the following message appears: `Cloned/Uncloned X bookmark(s) to Y PDF file(s).` If Clone/Unclone is clicked when no bookmarks or target PDF files have been selected, a warning message appears. If the destination document already has all the bookmarks, a warning message appears. Click No to stop cloning or Yes to continue.
Cancel	Click Cancel to exit the Clone Bookmarks window without performing any actions.
