Performing IntelliQC Functions

Information on performing functions in the IntelliQC tool.

To perform various IntelliQC functions:

  1. Select SmartDesk > Verification Tools > IntelliQC
  2. Select the document(s) using one of the following options from the File menu or the icons in the toolbar:
    • Load Active Document
    • Add File(s)
    • Add Folder
    The navigational item attributes details are displayed in the table.
  3. Do any of the following as required using the available options.
    • To modify the navigational item attributes, click on Edit > Modify, or click on the Modify icon. Make the necessary changes and click OK. Click the Apply icon on the toolbar to affect the changes.
    • To find and replace the bookmark title, modify its case, or to modify the destination file path, name and page number, go to Edit > Find and Replace, or click on the Find and Replace icon. Make the necessary changes and click Apply. To close the window, click Close.
    • To verify that the title associated with bookmarks or links is reflected in the content on the respective destination page and also to verify if the links or bookmarks resolve to the correct page, use Smart Check. To use Smart Check, go to Action > Smart Check, or click the Smart Check icon.
    • To export the navigational item attribute details in the IntelliQC table, go to File > Export, or click the Export icon.
    • To import the navigational item attribute details in the IntelliQC table, go to File > Import, or click the Import icon. Editable attributes of navigation items have a white background, while read-only attributes have a gray background
    • To sort a column in the table, click the column header. Clicking the header one time sorts the column in ascending order. Click the column a second time to sort in descending order. You can drag-and-drop a column from one area in the table to another. Columns can also be resized.

    After adding a PDF file to the table, the following information is displayed in the summary area.

    • A legend of navigation item types
    • The number of files scanned
    • The number of files with navigation items

The total number of navigation items and the following details are also displayed in the summary area:

  • Bookmarks (Invalid) - The total number of valid bookmarks found, followed by the number of invalid/broken bookmarks in parentheses.
  • Links (Invalid) - The total number of valid links found, followed by the number of invalid/broken links in parentheses.
  • Form Fields - The total number of form fields found.
  • Annotations - The total number of annotations found.
