Add Current File

Add Current File enables you to add the active document to PDF Security.

To add the opened document in Adobe Acrobat, click the tool bar icon or select Add Current File from the File menu. The PDF Security window will display the document. Note that, if multiple documents are open in Adobe Acrobat, only the active document will be added.

Add File(s)

The Add File(s) option enables you to select and add multiple PDF files from a single folder. Files from a different folder can be added by repeating this action.

To add files, click the icon or select Add File(s) in the File menu. This opens the Select File window. Select one or more PDF files from a desired folder and click Open. The Select File window will close and the security information fields from the selected files will be displayed.

Select a folder and click OK. The window closes and the security information fields of the selected files are displayed. To add all files from sub-folders within the selected folder, select the Include Subfolder option in the Browse for Folder window. Use this option to add an entire library of PDF files.

Remove File(s) To remove a file from the display, select the row in which the file is displayed and click the icon or select Remove File(s) on the File menu. This will remove the selected row.
Remove Folder To remove all files in a folder, select the row in which the folder is displayed and click the icon or select Remove Folder from the File menu. This will remove all the files in the selected folder.

View Document To view a document, select a row and click the icon, or select View Document from the Action menu. The selected document will open in Acrobat in the background.
Rescan You have the option to rescan a file or a set of files if they have been modified, so that the updated information will be displayed in the window. This allows you to temporarily review recent changes. To access the rescan option, click the icon or select Rescan in the Action menu.
Export

Security information from the PDF Security window can be exported to a comma delimited (CSV) file for later use. To save security information, click the icon or select Export in the Action menu. This opens the Export Security Details window. Select a .CSV file from this window either by entering the file name and path, or by clicking the ellipses button and navigating to the desired folder.

Click OK to save the security information, or Cancel to abort the exporting process and close the window.

Close Close the PDF Security window by clicking the icon or by selecting Close from the File menu. If PDF Security is opened again before exiting Acrobat, the tabular display will show the previous content.
