Event-Country Statuses, Actual Dates, Projected Dates, and Lead Times

Users with WRITE privileges for an event can set or change the event-country status, projected dates, and the actual status date for countries associated with an event.

Event-country statuses, such as Submitted, Approved, Not Approved, or Withdrawn indicate the current state of an application for an event country.

The default set of statuses available in Ennov InSight can be changed by your system administrator to tailor them to your company workflow. Event-Country statuses are tracked individually for each country associated with an event.

Projected dates with their specified lead times are used for planning. When you add a projected date, you establish a milestone for a particular status that is expected to occur on a specific date. Lead times are used as a planning tool for calculating projected dates. Lead times enable you to set expectations for completion using the number of days, so the system can calculate the dates for you.

Actual dates are a record of when an event-country status change actually occurs. While you can set projected status dates to any time in the future for planning, you can only set the actual status date to a prior date, the current date, or to the day after the current date for countries located in time zones a day ahead of your location.

If you modify the status schedule for one country associated with an event, the changes for that country do not affect the timeline/event plan (if one was used to create the event) or the status schedules for any other country associated with the event, unless you explicitly choose to do so.

You can set or change event-country statuses, projected dates, and actual status dates individually by country on the country's Status Dates tab, or set them using one of the available update wizards. When you use the Update Event Country Status wizard or the Update Event Country Status Projected Dates wizard, you can make your status or date changes for several countries, rather than just one at a time using the options available on the Status Dates tab.

Status Dates Tab

The Status Dates tab is accessible by selecting a country listed on the Countries tab on the Event Attributes page for an event. This tab contains the event-country status schedule that lists the statuses defined for an event for the country selected. The lead time (expressed in days) determines when an event-country status is expected to occur based on the previous status in the status schedule.

If you used a timeline/event plan to create the event:

  • All the statuses (except optional statuses) defined for the selected timeline/event plan are displayed.
  • If the application associated with the event is a National or MRP procedure type application, the lead times displayed are those defined in the selected timeline/event plan for the reviewing country on the application. If lead times were not defined for the reviewing country in the selected timeline/event plan, lead times are not displayed
  • If the application associated with the event is a CP procedure type application, the lead times displayed are those defined in the selected timeline/event plan for the EU country. If lead times were not defined for the EU country in the selected timeline/event plan, lead times are not  displayed.

When the projected status date for one status is defined, the projected dates for the other statuses can be automatically calculated based on the lead times by using the Calculate Projected Dates icon.

Update Wizards

The Update Event Country Status Projected Dates wizard and the Update Event Country Status wizard enable you to update the status or projected dates for one or more countries associated with an event. You can invoke these wizards from the Countries tab of the Event Attributes page, rather than the Status Dates tab. These wizards minimize the number of steps you need to take to change statuses and their associated actual or projected dates.

Updating Event-Country Status for Projects

In addition to updating the event-country status and dates for an application event, you can also change them for a project event. This process is performed from the View Project page. You can update event-country status for specific countries, just as you can in the Update Status wizard.
