Update Project Event-Country Statuses and Dates

Global Project Planning enables you to update the status and status date for one or more event countries that are associated with a project.

To update statuses and status dates, you must have at least WRITE privileges for events and projects, and either a Submission Planning and Tracking or a Registration Planning and Tracking module license with WRITE privileges.
To update the status and status date for events associated with a project:
  1. On the Home page, click Projects.
  2. On the Projects tab, click the project name link.
    The Project Attributes page appears.
  3. Click Event Country Dates.
  4. Click Update Project Event Country Status.
The Update Project Event Status wizard starts and opens the Select Event Countries page.
  5. Click the check-box on the row that contains the country for which you want to change the status or status date.
  6. Click Next.
The Enter Event-Country Status Values page opens.
  7. In the Event-Country Status drop-down list, select a status.
The drop-down lists the statuses that the selected events have in common.
Note: You can update an event-country status for a planned event that enforces status progression. For such an event, the only statuses available for selection are optional statuses and the next primary status in the sequence of primary statuses defined in the timeline/event plan.
  8. In the Status Date box, type or use the Calendar icon  to select the date that this event status is effective.
An event that enforces status progression can restrict the event-country status selection. Such an event also restricts the date selection. The dates from which you select are the date for the preceding primary status and later dates.
  9. If you want to lock the event-country schedule for the selected countries after the event-country status is updated, select Yes for Lock the Event-Country Schedule?.
  10. If you want to close the event, select Yes for Close Event?.
    Option Action
To select the closed date: In the Closed Date, type or use the Calendar icon .
To select the status: In the Associations Closed As, select the status that will be assigned to the related entities.
If the event is closed, the status of related entities (application, event, sequence, and PDS) will be updated to Approved, or Not Approved, or Withdrawn depending on the selected Associations Closed As Status (or a company custom status that maps to one of these internal statuses).

If the Event is closed as Approved, meaning it has the Association Closed As field set to APPROVED, the Application Country > Withdrawn Date field is automatically updated to be equal to Event Closed Date value. This rule is applicable to an event that has an associated PDS with this country assigned to a Country PDS Detail, and this country has a Withdrawn status, meaning it is displayed as Country (Pending Withdrawal) in the PDS tree. See If the Event Is Closed with the Status Approved.

  11. Make a selection in the Reason for Termination/Withdrawal drop-down list, if needed.
All active values from Data Administration > Other > Reason for Termination/Withdrawal Values table are available for selection.
  12. In the Add Comment box, type a comment that appears on the events that this update affects.
  13. Click Next.
The Confirmation page lists the actions that will be taken.
  14. Click Next.
The Summary page lists the events that were updated.
  15. Click Finish.
The Project Attributes page, from which you started the wizard, appears again.
  16. Click Event Country Dates to view your changes.
